Julen Lopetegui has revealed West Ham players will visit Michail Antonio in hospital this weekend as he recovers from a car crash in which he miraculously survived.
Antonio, 34, underwent surgery on a fractured lower leg after the accident on December 7.
The Jamaican striker was left in his car after the incident in Essex and was taken to a central London hospital.
“We will visit him today or tomorrow,” Lopetegui said.
“But the important thing is that we are happy because he is recovering well. We are close to him and his family and we wish him the best in the coming days.”

The AP report that Antonio will be hospitalize for several weeks as he recovers from multiple injuries.
The West Ham forward spoke to his team-mates via video call ahead of Monday’s 2-1 win over Wolves, and was pictur wearing Antonio’s No.9 shirt ahead of the game.
Antonio is West Ham’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League, having scored 68 goals in 268 league appearances.
