Brentford boss Thomas Frank hails Chelsea as perhaps the best team in the Premier League at the moment.
Enzo Maresca, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino in June, has led the Blues to a sixth successive win in all competitions before hosting Frank Lampard’s side at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Four consecutive league victories have left Chelsea second in the Premier League, four points behind Liverpool.
“They may be in better form than Liverpool, even though they (Liverpool) may be top of the league,” Frank said.
“They play incredible football and are very well-trained. Maresca has done a great job so far with his team and they look very dangerous.”
Chelsea beat Spurs 4-3 at Stamford Bridge and then beat Astana 3-1 in the Conference League on Thursday, taking Maresca’s side to 15 goals in their last four games in all competitions.
Brentford are ninth in the Premier League after beating Newcastle 4-2 last weekend. Despite a strong home form this season, the Bees have picked up just one point from their seven away games.
“Chelsea have a lot of firepower in ยูฟ่าเบท attack and have high-quality players all over the pitch. I think it will be incredibly difficult,” Frank added.
“They are the favourites, but of course we believe we can compete with anyone and we believe we can win,”
Brentford have every reason to approach the game with confidence having bounced back from defeat at Aston Villa to beat Newcastle last week.
And the Bees head into the game with an injury boost as both Kristoffer Ajer and Vitaly Janelt have been passed fit to face Maresca’s side.
